Ingredients

milk

32 oz bag frozen tater tots
1
cup
shredded cheddar cheese

cup
mozzarella cheese
Instructions
Preheat oven to
375
°F
and grease a 9x13 baking dish.
In a skillet, cook sausage until browned. Add butter and melt. Stir in the flour and cook for 1-2 minutes.
Slowly whisk in milk and cook until thickened. Stir in salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
Pour the sausage gravy mixture into the baking dish. Sprinkle one cup of cheese over the top.
Arrange the frozen tater tots evenly over the casserole. Sprinkle the remaining cheese on top.
Bake for 35-40 minutes, until golden and bubbly.
Broil for 2-3 minutes for extra crispy tots. Let the casserole rest 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
Use mild sausage for a more kid-friendly flavor.
Adjust pepper to taste
Add a splash of milk if gravy thickens too much.
