1cupfreshly grated parmesan cheese
½tspItalian seasoning
½tspblack pepper
½tspsalt(to taste)
¼tspred pepper flakes(optional)
½cupreserved pasta water
fresh parsley, chopped(optional garnish)

Instructions
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook pasta according to package instructions. Reserve ½ cup pasta water before draining.
In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the Italian sausage until browned and crumbled, about 6–8 minutes. Drain excess grease if needed.
Add butter to the skillet. Stir in minced garlic and cook for 30–60 seconds until fragrant.
Pour in the heavy cream and chicken broth. Stir and bring to a gentle simmer. Add Italian seasoning, black pepper, salt, and red pepper flakes if using.
Reduce heat to low and stir in the grated parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.
Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to coat. Add reserved pasta water a little at a time until the sauce reaches your desired consistency.
Top with extra parmesan and chopped parsley. Serve warm.
Notes
Freshly grated parmesan melts smoother than pre-shredded cheese.
Use spicy Italian sausage for extra flavor and heat.
Add spinach, mushrooms, or broccoli for an easy veggie boost.
